Children assemble to draw and say hello to their friends. Then they begin with French for Children or Spanish for Children play where they sing lots of new LWFC vocabulary-building songs, learning new foreign language grammatical patterns and word meanings. Then it might be visual-aid games, baking, arts and crafts, seasonal characters or stories. Since our native speaking instructors only speak French or Spanish in class, children begin to think in a new language. Midway through their half-day, campers get a snack of water and goldfish (or anything you may want to substitute) and end with a mini-lesson review of that day’s vocabulary.
